Welcome Charles Claassen to the 2010 Planning Team

In 2010 the Harvest Dinner was prepared by a diverse team of local restaurateurs and catering professionals who each took a dish or course and made it their own. It was an amazing showcase of our local talent!

The team was led by our event coordinator, Charles Claassen of Sprout Catering.

Charles Claassen is the chef/owner of Sprout Catering in Bellingham.  He works closely with the food and farming community, teaching classes and hosting demonstrations and farm dinners at partner farms.  Charles served as the chef and foodservice manager at North Cascades Institute's environmental learning center, where he directed the Foodshed Project, an educational program teaching about the far-reaching power of food choice. He lives in Bellingham with his wife, Christina, and two daughters, Olivia and Frankie.
